Joliet Junior College Football Camp
Jason Dewolf Defensive Coordinator
After a one year hiatus, Jason DeWolf is back with the Joliet Junior College football program as the Defensive Coordinator for the 2009 season. This will be his fifth year on the JJC Wolves staff.
For the 2008 season, Coach DeWolf was the Defensive Coordinator at Arizona Western College.
During the 2007 season at JJC, DeWolf helped guide the Wolves to a 10-2 record where they earned the Midwest Football Conference Eastern Division Championship and the Graphic Edge Printing Bowl Championship.
Before taking over the reins of Defensive Coordinator in 2006, Jason was the offensive line coach for the 2002 and 2004 seasons. In 2002, The Wolves posted the school's first and only perfect season (11-0) en route to the overall junior college national championship.
DeWolf was an assistant defensive line coach at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, IL for their inaugural 2001 season. He helped lead the team to the IHSA Class 6A state playoffs that year. He also assisted Lincoln-Way East for the 2003 season.
Coach DeWolf is a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School where he played football under head coach Rob Glielmi. His team appeared in the Class 6A state championship game his senior season.
He then went on to Southeast Missouri State University where he was a defensive tackle for the Indians. Jason earned a bachelor's degree from Governors State University and his master's degree in education from Chicago State University.
Jason resides in Frankfort, IL with his wife Jackie. They have one son, Max, and a daughter, Madison.

Darryl Richardson Running Backs Coach
The 2009 football season marks the tenth year that Darryl Richardson has been an assistant coach at Joliet Junior College. Richardson has coached tailbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends during his coaching career at Joliet.
Richardson was a wide receivers coach at the College of DuPage under former Joliet Junior College head coach Bob MacDougall. Darryl coached at DuPage from 1991 through the 1997 season. Besides coaching at DuPage and now Joliet Junior College, Richardson coached for the Tulsa Talons in the Arena Football League in 2000.
In addition to his wealth of coaching experience, Richardson brings to the table an abundance of accolades from his playing days on the gridiron.
Richardson earned Illinois High School Association All-State honors as a star player at Wheaton North High School. By rushing for more than 1,000 yards twice in his prep career, he helped Wheaton North to two state championships (1979 and 1981).
Following high school, Richardson was a three-year starting running back at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. In his sophomore year, he rushed for 1,204 yards. That same year, Darryl helped the Huskies finish with a 10-2 record and win the California Bowl with a victory over highly touted Cal State-Fullerton. He earned all-conference honors in the prestigious Mid-American Conference (MAC) and was an honorable mention All-American in his playing days at Northern Illinois.
Richardson received his bachelor of arts degree in communications from Northern Illinois University. He signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League in 1986. One year later, he played with the Cincinnati Bengals. After a brief stint in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Richardson retired as a player.
Darryl is employed with Compass Mortgage, Inc. as a mortgage consultant. He resides in Carol Stream, IL.

Harrison Brewer Offensive Line Coach
Harrison Brewer is entering his second season at Joliet Junior College as the offensive line coach.
Coach Brewer was a student assistant at Olivet Nazarene University for the 2007 season.
Harrison graduated from Lockport Township High School in 2003 and was a captain on the 2002 state championship football team. He then went on to play at Olivet Nazarene University where he was a four-year starting center. During his time at Olivet, he was apart of the 2003 MSFA conference championship and MSFA and First Team NCCAA All-American in 2006.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Olivet Nazarene University in 2007.
Harrison is employed at Argonne National Laboratories as a technician. He resides in Lockport, IL.

Robert Bastian Wide Receivers/Asst. Offensive Coordinator
Robert Bastian returns for his third season as an assistant coach for JJC football.
Bastian brings more than 16 years of college coaching experience to the table. He has made stops at Henderson State University, Tri-State University, Olivet College, Adrian College, Grand Rapids Community College, Northwest Mississippi Community College, and Harper College. He has coached in four bowl games and twice in the NCAA playoffs. Five of his former players have signed with the NFL, NFL Europe, or CFL contracts.
Coach Bastian was the head football coach and athletic director at Bloomingdale High School (Mich.), as well as athletic director at Millington Community Schools (Mich.). He was nominated for National High School Athletic Administrator of the Year in 2002 and 2003.
A two-year letterman at wide receiver for Kansas State University, Bastian earned a bachelor of science degree in political science/history. He earned his master's degree in sports administration from the United States Sports Academy.
Robert and his wife Nancy, reside in Channahon, IL. They have two children, Kevin and Lisa.

Eric Groves Defensive Line/Special Teams
Eric Groves will be coaching his second season at Joliet Junior College in 2008, but he is no stranger to the college.
Eric attended JJC and played football for the Wolves during the 1996 and 1997 seasons. After JJC, he transferred to Tuskegee University where he was part of the Division to Black College National Championship in 1998 as a linebacker under Coach Rick Comegy.
Groves was a three-year starting linebacker at Danville High School under Coach Nate Cunningham. He led in tackles for two seasons, which earned him All-Conference honors his junior and senior years.
Eric resides in Joliet, IL.

LaTodd Williams Defensive Line
LaTodd Williams is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Joliet Junior College football staff. He will work with the defensive line and be the strength and conditioning coach.
Coach Williams was a linebacker at the University of New Mexico under Coach Dennis Franchione. He started seventeen games during his tenure. LaTodd earned conference player of the week, most consecutive sacks, and the team's most improved award.
Prior to his arrival at New Mexico, he attended Highland Community College in Kansas. Coach Williams is Highland's fifth all-time leading tackler and earned several awards including NJCAA All-Academic 2nd team, Highland's Defensive Player of the Year, Iowa Junior College All-Conference 2nd team, 1992 Highland's strongest pound for pound athlete award, and was a dean's list recipient. LaTodd graduated from Senn High School where he still holds the school's all-time record for most sacks in a season (26).
LaTodd is employed for AT&T as a Global Service Executive. He is currently completing his graduation studies in telecommunications from DePaul University. He and his wife, Syreeta, reside in Matteson, IL.

SHANE COREY Defensive Backs Coach
Coach Shane Corey will be entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Joliet Junior College football staff. He will be coaching the defensive backs in 2009 for the Wolves.
The last two years, Coach Corey served as the Head JV Coach and Varsity Receivers Coach at El Cajon Valley High School in San Diego, California where he and his family have just relocated from.
Corey is no stranger to the junior college ranks as he attended Grossmont Junior College in San Diego where he obtained his associate's degree. As a two-sport athlete in football and track, Corey earned all-conference honors his freshman and sophomore years as a wide receiver for the Griffins. During his sophomore year, he helped lead the Griffins to a perfect 11-0 record, a conference championship, and a bowl game victory catching the game winning touchdown in the 1998 Potato Bowl.
Corey was able to earn a scholarship through his junior college program to West Liberty State College, a D-II school in upper West Virginia. He earned all-conference recognition his junior and senior year in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. In addition in his senior year, they won their first conference championship in over 27 years. He was also the first player in school history to every throw a touchdown, catch a touchdown, and return a punt all in the same game.
In 2001, he went on to play a season of arena football helping the Ohio Valley Greyhounds make the playoffs playing receiver and at quarterback.
Shane majored in business management and is currently employed with InVision Software. He also is one of the co-founders of The Camp of Champions, a non-profit organization dedicated to motivating today's youth. He and his wife, Krista reside in Naperville. They have two sons, Kyler and Rylan.

JAVIER GONZALEZ Defensive Backs Coach
Javier Gonzalez begins his coaching career with Joliet Junior College for the 2009 season. He will assist with the defensive backs.
Coach Gonzalez was the head freshman coach at Hammond High School in 2006, while also assisting with the varsity team's defensive backs. In 2008, he was the wide receivers coach at Joliet Central High School.
Gonzalez graduated from Joliet Central High School. He was a defensive back and played under Coach Tony Juarez.
He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Governors State University and is currently pursuing his master's degree in public safety administration at Lewis University. He has completed intern work with the Illinois State Police and the Ottawa Police Department.
Javier resides in Joliet, IL.
