Jason DeWolf
Defensive Coordinator

The 2007 season marks the fourth year in which Jason DeWolf has coached for Joliet Junior College. He took over the reins of Defensive Coordinator for the 2006 season and helped the Wolves to a 7-4 overall record and a trip to the Graphic Edge Bowl game.

Jason was an offensive line coach for the 2002 and 2004 seasons. In 2002, the Wolves posted the school’s first and only perfect season (11-0) en route to the overall junior college national championship.

In 2001, DeWolf was an assistant coach at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, IL. DeWolf, who assisted the Griffins’ defensive line in 2001, helped lead the team to the Illinois High School Association Class 6A state playoffs in their inaugural season. He coached for Lincoln-Way East in 2003 as well.

Jason was a football player at Lincoln-Way High School in New Lenox, IL. As a senior in 1996, he helped lead the Knights and head coach Rob Glielmi to an appearance in the Class 6A state championship game.

From 1997 through 2000, DeWolf attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. While at Southeast Missouri State, DeWolf played defensive tackle for the Indians.

Coach DeWolf earned a bachelor’s degree from Governor’s State University and his master’s degree in education from Chicago State University. Jason resides in Lockport, IL.

Billy Glasscock
Wide Receivers Coach

The 2007 season marks Billy Glasscock’s sixth season as an assistant coach at Joliet Junior College. Glasscock has coached defensive backs, running backs, and wide receivers at Joliet.

Two of Coach Glasscock's running backs that have had great success include Antoine Bagwell and Larry Turner. Bagwell played for the Wolves during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He then went on to play at California University of Pennsylvania where he was a two-time All-American recipient along with being named PSAC West Conference Player of the Year back to back seasons. During his time at CAL U, Bagwell put up some astounding numbers. He rushed for 3,353 yards and scored 45 touchdowns in just two seasons. He was a participant in the 2005 Division II All-Star Cactus Bowl. Antoine was drafted as a free agent to the St. Louis Rams and just recently signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Larry Turner was an outstanding running back for Joliet in 2004 with over 1,000 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns scored. His numbers earned him a spot on the NJCAA All-American team.
 
 
Billy Glasscock played both football and baseball at Joliet Junior College. He was a hard-hitting outfielder for JJC Director of Athletics Wayne L. King, Jr.. Glasscock received Region IV tournament MVP honors his sophomore baseball season at Joliet. He attended Bloomington High School in Bloomington, IL where he played football and baseball in the highly competitive Big 12 conference. He receive all-conference honors in baseball his junior and senior year and his senior season of football.

Billy earned his associate’s degree from Joliet Junior College and is employed as a full-time assistant coach for JJC. He resides in Minooka, IL.

Jeremy Richardson
Quarterbacks Coach

The 2007 season will be Jeremy Richardson's first season as an assistant coach for Joliet Junior College. He will coach quarterbacks. Coach Richardson was a wide receivers coach at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, FL for one season where they won the 2006 3A State Football Championship. Prior to that, he spent two seasons at Northern Michigan University as a graduate assistant where he worked with tight ends, offensive line, and wide receivers. He also coached one season at Fairmont State College as a student assistant tight ends coach.

Jeremy Richardson was a three sport athlete at Bloomington High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He then went on to play football at Joliet Junior College for the 1997 and 1998 seasons where he earned N4C all-conference honors his sophomore season. After Joliet, he went to Fairmont State College where he was a two year starter as a tight end. Jeremy was a two time all-conference recipient in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. 
 
Jeremy earned his master's degree in training and development from Northern Michigan University in 2006. He received his bachelor's degree from Aurora University and his associate degree from Joliet Junior College.

Jeremy is employed at Joliet Junior College in the Project Achieve office as an English writing specialist. He and his wife Latisha reside in Joliet, IL. They have two children, Nya, 12, and Jeremy, 4.

Dave Moak

Offensive Line Coach

The 2007 football season marks the second season that Dave Moak will coach on the Joliet Junior College football staff. Coach Moak coaches offensive line for the Wolves. Moak coached football at Bolingbrook High School for two seasons as a varsity assistant coach. He has also been a football varsity assistant coach at Romeoville High School (2002-2004), Lemont High School (2001-2002), and St. Joseph High School in Kenosha, WI (2000-2001). Moak helped lead the Bolingbrook Raiders to the IHSA state football playoffs in 2004 and to the IHSA state football quarterfinals in 2005. Dave has also served as a strength and conditioning specialist for each high school that he has previously served. Moak has had multiple Illinois State Power Lifting champions as a coach at Romeoville High School. Dave currently competes in power lifting through Rudy’s Gym in Joliet.

Moak is a 1999 graduate of Carroll College in Waukesha, WI where he excelled in both football and track. Dave was a four-year starter on the offensive line, 1st team all-conference selection, team captain, offensive lineman of the year, as well as academic all-conference recipient. Moak helped to anchor the offensive line for the 1997 conference and division champion Carroll College Pioneers.

Moak received his bachelor of science degree from Carroll College in physical education, health education, and athletic training. In 2005, Dave received his master’s degree and Illinois Type 75 Administrative Certificate from Governors State University.

Dave is employed at Bolingbrook High School as a Dean of Students. He and his wife Jean, reside in Shorewood, IL. They have two sons, Ben and Joseph, and their boxer Vince. Jean is a social studies teacher and head varsity softball coach at Bolingbrook High School.

Darryl Richardson
Running Backs Coach

The 2007 football season marks the eighth year that Darryl Richardson has been an assistant coach at Joliet Junior College. Richardson has coached tailbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends during his coaching career at Joliet.

Richardson was a wide receivers coach at the College of DuPage under former Joliet Junior College head coach Bob MacDougall. Darryl coached at DuPage from 1991 through the 1996 season. Besides coaching at DuPage and now Joliet Junior College, Richardson coached for the Tulsa Talons in the Arena Football League in 2000.

In addition to his wealth of coaching experience, Richardson brings to the table an abundance of accolades from his playing days on the gridiron.

Richardson earned Illinois High School Association All-State honors as a star player at Wheaton North High School. By rushing for more than 1,000 yards twice in his prep career, he helped Wheaton North to two state championships (1979 and 1981).

Following high school, Richardson was a three-year starting running back at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. In his sophomore year, he rushed for 1,204 yards. That same year, Darryl helped the Huskies finish with a 10-2 record and win the California Bowl with a victory over highly touted Cal State-Fullerton. He earned all-conference honors in the prestigious Mid-American Conference (MAC) and was an honorable mention All-American in his playing days at Northern Illinois.

Richardson received his bachelor of arts degree in communications from Northern Illinois University. He signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League in 1986. One year later, he played with the Cincinnati Bengals. After a brief stint in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Richardson retired as a player.

Darryl is employed with Compass Mortgage, Inc. as a mortgage consultant. He resides in Carol Stream, IL.

Tony Mitchell Jr.
Defensive Ends Coach

Tony Mitchell, Jr. will be coaching football for his fourth consecutive season at Joliet Junior College in 2007. Tony was a star linebacker at Blue Island (IL) Eisenhower High School. Mitchell was a two-year varsity starter for the Cardinals and was an all-conference selection as a junior.

Tony also excelled as a power lifter for Blue Island High School. Upon graduation from high school, Coach Mitchell was a star linebacker at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn (IL) for two seasons (1990 and 1992). He played for former Joliet Junior College head coach Bob MacDougall while playing at DuPage. Tony helped the Chaparrals to earn two postseason bowl appearances.

Coach Mitchell then played linebacker at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, KY. He was a two-year starter for Kentucky State. He played for the Thoroughbreds in 1993 and 1994.
 
Tony earned his associate’s degree from College of DuPage and his bachelor's degree from Governor’s State University. Tony resides in Joliet, IL.

Steve Gonzalez

Defensive Backs Coach

Steve Gonzalez will be coaching his second season at Joliet Junior College in 2007. Steve was the head football coach at Romeoville High School during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

Steve was a star linebacker who played at Romeoville High School under Coach Bill Wienke. Coach Gonzalez was a three-year starter for the Spartans and received 1st team all-conference honors his junior and senior seasons.

After graduating high school, Gonzalez went on and played football at the College of DuPage. He was a linebacker for the Chaparrals and was on the 1995-1996 team which went undefeated that season. Steve played for former Joliet Junior College head football coach Bob MacDougall and current head football coach Tom Minnick while at College of DuPage.

After playing football for two years at DuPage, Steve went on and played for Aurora University under Coach Jim Scott. Steve was a starter at defensive end for two years.
 
Steve is employed at Romeoville High School teaching physical education and driver’s education. He and his wife Carrie reside in Joliet, IL. They have two children, Steve Jr., 5 and Natalie, 3.
